IT jobs claimed a 5.93% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 1.53% decline over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 51.02% in May 2022, and an 82.39% drop over April 2022, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 16.33% in May 2022, and registered a decline of 70.37%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 12.24% in May 2022, a 62.5% drop from April 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at F. Hoffmann-La Roche
North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 44.9% share, which marked an 82.68% drop over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 36.73%, registering a 75.68% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 14.29% share and a 77.42% drop over April 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 2.04% and a month-on-month decline of 50%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.04%, registering an 85.71% drop over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 38.78% share in May 2022, an 81.73% decline over April 2022. Switzerland featured next with a 10.2% share, down 64.29% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 10.2% share, a decline of 82.14% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.1%, down by 75.68% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.57% share, a decline of 84.62% compared with the previous month.
