US-based company Johnson & Johnson’s IT hiring declined 9.3% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.25% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 3.66% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 0.48% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Johnson & Johnson IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Johnson & Johnson, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 39.78% in September 2022, and a 5.71% rise over August 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 32.26% in September 2022, and registered growth of 87.5%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.9% in September 2022, a 300% rise from August 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Johnson & Johnson

North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 65.59% share, which marked a 17.31% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 19.35%, registering a 28.57% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 9.68% share and an 18.18% drop over August 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.3% and a month-on-month increase of 33.33%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.08%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 61.29% share in September 2022, a 23.91% growth over August 2022. India featured next with a 6.45% share, up 20% over the previous month. Ireland recorded a 6.45% share, an increase of 200% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Johnson & Johnson IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.91%, up by 57.58% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 36.56% share, a decline of 2.86% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.53% share, down 41.67% over August 2022.
