The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.84% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.95% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0.06% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s pharma industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
GlaxoSmithKline posted 30 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 328.57% over the previous month, followed by Bayer with 6 jobs and a 14.29% drop. Bausch Health Companies with 6 IT jobs and AstraZeneca with 6 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 71.43% decrease, respectively, while Parexel International recorded a decline of 37.5% with 5 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60%, down by 11.11% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.5% share, registered a decline of 38.89% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.25% share, up 28.57% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.25%, recording a month-on-month decline of 75%.
