Business transformation accelerator AppBus has joined the technology partner programme of Veeva Systems.
Veeva Systems is a provider of Cloud-based software for the life sciences industry.
The Covid-19 crisis has posed many challenges to the clinical trial industry.
The pandemic requires contract research organisations (CROs) and life sciences companies to develop novel methods to optimise ongoing trials, as well as preparing for the surge of Covid-19-related studies.
The AppBus Application eXtension Platform (AXP) will enable Veeva customers to ramp-up application integration, as well as automation of cross-application processes.
According to AppBus, AXP improves the efficiency of clinical operations, offering cleaner data throughout the studies.
AppBus CEO Bill Conners said: “Interoperability of systems is a major issue in the healthcare and life sciences space.
“AXP offers the unique ability to integrate and automate complex applications at a speed not seen before. Veeva Vault Clinical Suite offers the best APIs in the industry.
“But often a CRO or biopharma has applications in its portfolio that only have partial APIs or no APIs at all. AppBus uses smart automation to create API interfaces, making all applications fully accessible for connection to the Veeva ecosystem.”
AppBus claims that its solution is now being extensively used to address the integration challenges associated with clinical trials which have troubled the mid-sized contract research organisations and biopharma space for a long time.
In January this year, Veeva Systems announced the launch of Veeva Vault Payments, a new add-on application for Veeva Vault CTMS.
In October last year, the company launched Veeva SiteVault Free, a free eRegulatory solution for clinical research sites.
In June 2019, Celltrion implemented Veeva Systems’ Veeva Vault eTMF to improve visibility and compliance across trial master file (TMF) processes.
