IQVIA, a life sciences technology solutions provider, has launched a technology-based global site network that opens opportunities for more clinical trials at experienced clinical and research sites.
The new Avacare Clinical Research Network increases patients’ clinical and research options.
IQVIA noted that the analytical tools enable sites in Avacare’s network match patients to clinical trials quickly and efficiently.
IQVIA Research & Development Solutions Design and Delivery Innovation president Cynthia Verst said: “We believe combining clinical research and patient care produces better patient outcomes, reduces cost of care, and advances research that will benefit patients.
“This is another example of IQVIA’s commitment to human data science, where our Avacare network enables practices to efficiently match trial participants to clinical trials, advancing medical innovation.”
Earlier known as Qcare, Avacare has now grown to include sites in the US and India, covering over 19 therapeutic areas in the region.

In order to deliver artificial intelligence (AI)-powered patient referrals and data-driven enrolment trends, Avacare uses innovative clinical technology combined with advanced analytics.
IQVIA said in a statement: “By utilising proprietary algorithms and privacy-protected health records across sites, Avacare precisely identifies the best patients to opt-in for each trial and supports the investigators in engaging patients for those trials.”
In September last year, IQVIA collaborated with Friends of Cancer Research to advance the use of real-world evidence (RWE) in clinical trials to better understand treatment outcomes over time.
