ProofPilot has entered a strategic collaboration with the research participant registry and verification platform Verified Clinical Trials (VCT), which is set to significantly enhance participant integrity in trial recruitment.
This partnership aims to strengthen data integrity by mitigating the risk associated with enrolling ineligible trial participants.
VCT will aid in verifying research subjects under the deal, curtailing the chances of duplicate enrolment across studies.
Its participant protection and data integrity strategies will improve the reliability of trial data.
ProofPilot CEO Chris Venezia said: “Our goal is to give sponsors the best chance at proving the safety and efficacy of their drugs through workflow automation.
“With VCT, we will streamline the sites’ ability to ensure the right patient is enrolled in trials.”

By GlobalDataProofPilot’s platform is designed to streamline clinical trial conduct through the automation of clinical tasks, the management of study knowledge, and the reduction of confusion caused by the proliferation of technologies.
The integration of VCT into ProofPilot will streamline the process for sites to confirm subject eligibility, ensuring the integrity of the data collected.
The synergy will also improve the quality of trial data, thereby benefiting patients, sponsors, and all research stakeholders.
VCT CEO and co-founder Mitchell Efros said: “At VCT, our mission is to safeguard patient safety and data integrity in clinical trials.
“Our partnership with ProofPilot expands this capability for more sponsors by enabling sites to more easily ensure patient data quality throughout the trial process.”
ProofPilot and VersaTrial partnered in May 2023 to integrate their technologies for improving quality, clinical trial speed, and satisfaction for site staff and their patients.
In April 2022, ProofPilot secured more than $12m in a Series B funding round led by Mitsui. The financing round also saw participation from Sopris Capital, First Trust Capital Partners, and Excelra, among others.
