Integrated research organisation (IRO) Circuit Clinical has entered a partnership with Graves Gilbert and Labcorp to expand access to clinical trials for patients in South Central Kentucky, US.
The latest collaboration will support efforts to provide clinical research access for communities and progress the development of medical therapies.
This approach will also aid diverse and medically underserved rural communities in gaining equitable access to healthcare.
Graves Gilbert, a multispecialty clinic, will work with the IRO to cut down on the burden on patients who seek to take part in clinical research through this alliance.
The physician's offices of Graves Gilbert will receive on-site clinical trial support from Circuit Clinical staff, who have experience in clinical trials.
The staff will work alongside the physicians to care for research participants in the office itself.
Labcorp is serving as the initial reference laboratory for Graves Gilbert.
The laboratory service provider will help eligible Graves Gilbert patients detect suitable trials. Subsequently, the parties will join forces to rapidly enrol subjects into the trials.
Patients who are part of the trial can choose hybrid care options using telemedicine and decentralised trial offerings of Circuit Clinical.
These solutions help reduce the conventional issues associated with clinical research that prevent patients from participating in trials.
Graves Gilbert CEO Chris Thorn said: “We look forward to continuing to serve our diverse communities by offering patients access to clinical trials and cutting-edge treatments all from the comfort of our offices, with the physicians they know and trust.”
