Integrated clinical trial network Eximia Research has expanded into Iowa, US, with the acquisition of Integrated Clinical Trial Services (ICTS).

This move is expected to enhance access to advanced clinical trials and healthcare solutions across the country.

Based in West Des Moines, ICTS is said to be the region's only full-time dedicated research clinic and conducts clinical trials in various therapeutic areas.

The clinic focuses on raising awareness about the value of clinical trials among the public and medical professionals.

Kristine Majors, a registered nurse, alongside her husband Joe, has led the clinic, which brings more than 19 years of academic and clinical research experience to the Eximia network.

They have developed ICTS into a multidisciplinary research site, contributing to the advancement of new treatments.

The integration of ICTS into Eximia's network is expected to improve access to clinical trials and treatments for the West Des Moines community.

Eximia Research CEO Ella Grach said: “The addition of this established, successful site strengthens our ability to offer cutting-edge clinical trials to more communities and reinforces our commitment to expanding access to quality clinical research.

This partnership is expected to have a positive effect on healthcare in the region, complementing Eximia's presence in the Midwest, which includes Sundance Clinical Research in St. Louis, and other sites across the mid-Atlantic, south-east and western US.

In August, Eximia Research announced the acquisition of Tidewater Clinical Research, which works on women’s health and ophthalmology clinical trials in the Hampton Roads/Eastern Virginia region in the US.
