Medidata has launched new data integration offerings, namely Clinical Data Studio and Health Record Connect, to expedite clinical trials.
Intended for bolstering and optimising clinical data workflows, the new solutions are based on an open, interconnected and scalable data design.
By incorporating data from various third-party sources, these offerings provide a more comprehensive view of patients.
Third-party sources, such as lab, electronic health records (EHR), and sensor data are used by the solutions to obtain actionable data insights for boosting the outcomes of trials.
An artificial intelligence (AI)-powered data offering, Clinical Data Studio is based on the integrated platform of the company.
It can streamline standardisation, integration and management of data across numerous use cases.
A scalable offering, Health Record Connect can integrate clinical research into healthcare data.
It can be used with a data entry assistant Medidata Rave Companion, facilitating trial centres to fill Medidata Rave EDC forms rapidly using already available health record data of patients.
Medidata Patient Cloud CEO Anthony Costello said: “As an industry, we have enormous opportunities with data to accelerate the pace of research and improve the ways we engage with patients.
“These new experiences provide an expanded perspective where patients are engaged as lifelong partners in clinical research and where the clinical data lifecycle is accelerated with AI to deliver insights that will transform how studies are designed and executed.”
The company plans to make available Clinical Data Studio and Health Record Connect in the first half of next year.
These offerings will be provided as part of Medidata’s unified clinical research platform.
The new launch comes after Medidata partnered with EDETEK for clinical trials and data management.
