GlobalData Epidemiologist Report: More than 19,127,000 Covid-19 cases world wide – soaring infections among young people

Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 19,127,000 with more than 715,000 deaths and 11,578,000 recoveries.

Globally cases continue to rise with the US, Brazil, and India remaining the top three most affected countries.

Brazil experienced a spike in the number of daily new cases with more than 110,000 confirmed on 6 August.

Around the world schools have been reopened only to be shut down again quickly after new cases emerge.

Cases in young people have been soaring and risks of a second and/or third wave remain high.
