It was followed by Bayer with eight supply chain and logistics patent applications, MSD (Merck in North America) (8 applications), and Iovance Biotherapeutics (6 applications).

Figures for patent grants related to supply chain and logistics followed a different pattern to filings - growing from one in the three months ending February 2021 to two in the same period in 2022.
