Inotiv Inc is a contract research organization (CRO) that provides non-clinical and analytical drug discovery and development services to the pharmaceutical, chemical, and medical device industries. It sells analytical instruments to the pharmaceutical development and contract research industries. Inotiv operates through two business segments – Contract Research Services and Research Products. These segments address the bioanalytical, non-clinical, and clinical research needs of drug and device developers. The Contract Research Services segment provides screening and pharmacological testing, non-clinical safety testing, formulation development, regulatory compliance, and quality control testing. The Research Products segment offers two principal product lines – analytical products and In vivo sampling products. Analytical products consist of liquid chromatographic and electrochemical instruments with associated accessories. In vivo sampling products comprise the Culex family of automated in vivo sampling and dosing instruments. These instruments are used by pharmaceutical researchers to dose animals and collect biological samples (blood, bile, urine, microdialysate, faeces, or any bio-fluid) from animals.

Envigo, a subsidiary of Inotiv, is a products business that provides research-quality animals for use in laboratory tests, as well as standard and custom laboratory animal diets and bedding, and associated services for contract research organizations, biopharmaceutical companies, universities, governments, and other research organizations. Envigo provides customers with laboratory animals used in basic research and product development and non-clinical testing of compounds to support the development and approval of new medicines.
